How long to clear the air of mold in my home after mold removal?

I got rid of a moldy sofa 3 days ago. The smell is gone but I am still getting irritation from the dead spores. How long until the air is cleared? The windows are all open and there is very low humidity and a little breeze. Should it all be clear by now?
Thank you everyone.

I don’t know. I had the same prob about 2 months ago and I can still smell it. Don’t spray lysol on porous surfaces. Try using Febreze antimicrobial.

If you can borrow or rent a dehumidifier – that will help.
Also you could try buying an air purifying machine which will clear the air in your house.
Another thing is burning a few large scented pillar candles – they will burn-off the offencive odours.
Give it a little more time with the window open if you can.References :

Check out the remarkable research on toxic mold removal done by environmental expert Dr Ed Close. Simply diffusing Thieves essential oil regularly will likely result in an environment very hostile to mold. http://www.secretofthieves.com/mold.cfm

    Neutralizes the spores too.

Cost of a diffuser and a bottle of the Thieves oil that Dr Close recommends to his remediation clients: about $150.
